Here are some tips to save gas and increase your gas mileage.
Park in the shade - gas will evaporate in the heat
If you ride alone close the a/c vents in the back and on the passanger side - car will cool only you
If you go down hills coast - no reason to push on gas, take advantage of gravity
When it is hot keep windows cracked - less time to cool down interior when you get in
Make sure tires are inflated to correct size
Keep oil and airfilters clean
Bike or Walk instead of driving when you can :-)

Ways to extend your MPG
Here are a couple of things I do.
I drive in an area with hills, so when I go uphill I turn off my a/c, when I go downhill I turn on my a/c but I take my foot of the gas and coast.
My roundtrip to work and back is 36mi a day. I coast about 6 mi a day so that is 30 mi a week and 120mi a month. Every little bit helps with the price of gas how it is.

Saving the Earth 1 diet coke at a time
How, you may ask?
Well, I get refills. What you say?
When I buy my large diet coke (my caffine fix, don't like coffee ewww!) I save my cup. (yes my car and desk look cluttered, but there is a reason!)
Then I walk (saving gas and pollution) to Carl's Jr. and get a refill (saving money and plastic) using my same cup.
I also have a cup from Mobile for the same thing when I fill up my car.
So I am reducing landfill (saving 100's of plastic cups a year!), reducing pollution (walking not driving) and saving Moola (costs .80 to 1.25 less to refill!)
That's a Win/WIn/WIN baby!

Improve your gas mileage
Here is a simple way to improve your gas mileage, turn off the a/c vents on the passenger side of your car, or back a/c vents in an SUV when you drive alone.
Since you don't need to keep an empty seat cool, turn of the vents on the empty seats. This will increase the flow of air to the drive seat, and you will use less and cool down faster ;-)

It is a little harder to cut gas usage I think, cause it isn't used for to much. We have lowed the thermostat, and since I always am colder then the rest of the family, I have a blanket in the living room.
We seem to be doing ok here is the stats from my latest bill
Month This Yr Last Yr
Feb 77 therms 2.66 daily 120 therms 3.75 daily
Mar 74 therms 2.47 daily 76 therms 2.53 daily
I am going green, saving my pocket book and the planet.

This is pretty nifty.
>Just enter your zip code in the site below, and it tells you which gas
>stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas in your zip
>code area. It's updated every evening.
