My nails are growing....

Since I started Drinking Tea and reducing drinking Diet Coke my nails have been growing and growing....ha....what a side effect!!!

FYI - I saw a article somewhere that says women who drink diet drinks tend to lose more calcium...so my nails seem to support that.

OMG - COLD TURKEY

As many of you know, I drink some...a little....ok tooo much...diet coke, so I have given it up pretty much cold turkey, kind of on accident.

I went to a luncheon meeting and at the tables they had water and iced tea.  So I was thirsty and when my water was gone I tried the Ice Tea and it was good!

So that weekend when we were out I only ordered Ice Tea not diet coke and I haven't looked back since.  I have tried to reduce the diet coke before, but if I didn't drink it I would get a headache, mostly I am told, from the caffine.  Since tea has natural caffine, but a lot less!  I haven't had any headaches!

So, not only is the bad stuff staying out of my body, the good stuff is now going in and my water intake has gone way up...tea is after all flavored water....!

On top of that I am saving lots of money not buying a diet coke all the time!  I did invest in a Ice Tea maker that was on sale at Target!

How, you may ask?

Well, I get refills. What you say?

When I buy my large diet coke (my caffine fix, don't like coffee ewww!) I save my cup. (yes my car and desk look cluttered, but there is a reason!)

Then I walk (saving gas and pollution) to Carl's Jr. and get a refill (saving money and plastic) using my same cup.

I also have a cup from Mobile for the same thing when I fill up my car.

So I am reducing landfill (saving 100's of plastic cups a year!), reducing pollution (walking not driving) and saving Moola (costs .80 to 1.25 less to refill!)

That's a Win/WIn/WIN baby!
