King's Fish House

King's Fish House - 24001 Ave. De la Carlotta, Laguna Hills, CA

We come here quite often. There are two sides, on side is more of a dinner area, the other side has the bar. We have eaten on both sides but we prefer the Bar side as it is brighter and usually no wait.

While the food is almost always great the service tends to be fair as often as it is good. Tonight for example we were almost ready to leave before the waiter came over with bread and the menus. The bread was burnt on the bottom which was a poor way to start. He was leaving and the waitress that took over was very good.

My husband gets the same thing EVERY time we come, the Nawlins BBQ Shrimp which comes with shrimp, Leeks and Tomatoes (I eat the tomatoes after the sauce has dripped off) Garlic Bread and Rice, however he always changes out the rice for the Corn which is always Perfection! ($18.95), and 2 Heineken ($9.90) I had water and Tilapia which comes with 2 sides, I chose the Corn (of course) and Garden Veggies ($16.95). And we had her bring us another loaf of bread, unburnt this time!

Our total bill before tip was $49.35. We really like this restaurant and we will continue to go as the prices are reasonable and the food is good, even if the service occasionally is lacking.
