Minimum Wage Is Nothing To Aspire To

Minimum wage, is the least wage available. This is for high school students getting their first job, college kids who need spending money, retiree's to make the little extra money the government allows before taking away their benefits.

Minimum wage is not a living wage or for taking care of a family. Nor should it be. This is a starting point into making more money. This is a wage you quickly get tired of but it gets you in the door and gets you the experience you need to move on to a better paying job. Experience and schooling are the gateways to increased wages.

Everyone is worth MORE then min. wage, however; everyone needs to start somewhere, they just shouldn’t end up there.

Raising the min. wage doesn't help anyone. Trust me, corporations will reduce hours and increase work loads to counteract the increase. Do you want 25 hrs at 6.25 = $156.25 or 20 hrs at $7 = 140?

The only real way to get more money is to have the experience and/or schooling to back up your request for it. Right now where jobs in service are not being filled by quality candidates the time is ripe for raises.

There are those who will have no ambition past the min. wage, let them have it, the rest of us will earn what we are worth.
