As most of you know I LOVE Ebay!
However, you still have to compare prices. I was looking for Soy Paper, a Low Cal wrapper and it was on ebay for $15.95 for 20 sheets + $4.95 shipping!$21.90 or I could by 5 sheets for $5.95 + $4.95 shipping = $10.90.
Sooo I went to Amazon, they were selling 10 1/2sheet package for $3.95 + $5.61 shipping, however I got (3) packs for the same shipping price = $11.85 + $5.61 = $17.46 total for 15 full sheets (cut in half which I prefer) compared to 3 x $10.90.
As they used to say "Let your fingers to the walking"(or in this case typing!)

A few minutes of your time comparison shopping can save you lots of money.
I recently needed to replace my 12 Oral B Power Toothbrush Brushes, so I went to Amazon first and they were running $12.34 for (4). I went to ebay and bought (12) for $15.99. I saved $25.00. for a few minutes of my time!

Check Ebay before spending your cash!
We were out shopping recently and while in the store my husband looked at a baseball cap cleaner, they wanted $19.99 + $1.49 tx total $21.48 for it!
I found it on ebay for $.99 + $5.99 shipping = total $6.98
$14.50 in savings! If you want/need something you see but can wait for it, check out ebay before buying!
Just make sure to check the cost of the item and shipping BEFORE bidding!

Cross Promoting!
As most of you know, I LOVE to read, so I use Frugal Reader ALOT, and Amazon. I also do crafts and sell them on ebay.
So I had some business cards made up at no charge (woo hoo). What I do is stick a business card with the ebay address on it on every book I ship out thru both.
This way I get a little more advertising without cost!

I am slightly annoyed
I sell my stuff on ebay. My shipping tends to be the lowest listed anywhere! I don't Jack up my shipping like some. I ship my stuff in sturdy boxes, first class with cushioning. And still I am getting low marks in the shipping costs section.
What more do you guys want, I mean really? I make the charms myself, I have comparison shopped and the same quality is going to cost you $6 and up plus much higher shipping costs.
I don't know what else to do, just because the stamp says .79 or .69 and I charge 1.75 to 1.95 there is the cost of the box itself and the cushioning inside. I don't make any money on shipping people.
I don't really make much money on my charms either, it is a hobby/craft to keep me out of my husband's hair while he watchs football, that doesn't mean however I want to lose money!
The whole goal is to at least recoup my costs for all of it. Help me out here people!

Extra cash is laying around your house!
Make it work for you darn it!
As you may or maynot know, from previous posts, I have had my salary reduced by 10%, that's the bad news, the good news is I STILL have a job.
I have been giving out the tips and tricks I use to save and make extra money.
You would be surprised at the extra cash you have laying around your house. Where it is you ask?
Look around, I found $150 in my bathroom, yep that is right. I have ADD so with the attention span of a NAT my followthru sucks. So a while ago, when we had money I bought some Revitalshape (cellulite treatment). It wasn't cheap but they had a deal so I got the buy one get one free deal.
Well out of the 4 I have used 1, yes it seems to work, but for me Follow-thru, you gotta do it everyday, a couple times a day, hell I can't even take my meds everyday!
So, as money is getting tight I was rooting thru my cupboards and walaa, 3 boxes. I looked on ebay, they were going for around 61 plus shipping. I put mine out for 50 plus shipping and sold all 3 in 3 days.
That meant an extra $150 in my bank account!
Look around, got stuff that is brand new with tags in your closet? Shoes, purses, cosmetics? Put it on ebay!
Don't know how to use ebay? I am an ebay pro, everyone comes to me to list their stuff, my parents, my kids, my co-workers, friends, I even list work stuff sometimes to get rid of our excess stock.
