Since it is Christmas Time I see a lot of Restaurants offering you $5 dollar GC free when your purchase $25 (different restaurants have different offers).

Give the gift of Self Sufficientcy
I bring this up quite often because I really believe in this charity. Heifer International.
You give the gift of an animal that will change a family and when the animal has babies they pass them on to others who need help and so on.
It is the best investment you can make and you can make donations as gifts for those who already have everything!

Christmas Presents that last
Everyone tries to get Christmas presents that are what people want, useful, ect. We have changed tactics in the last few years when it comes to family. Instead of a "toy" that is going to be used then forgotten, ect we try and give experiences.
One year my youngest who is a big Cincinnati Bengas Fan (poor guy until this year) we combined his graduation and birthday together and sent him to see a game. (had free tickets from Amex Points). He has the pictures and him and his dad had a great time.
This year we are working on the Cinci / San Diego game (it is a lot harder cause they are winning!).
For another son's birthday we took him and a friend to a Hockey game, and one time bought tickets for a concert they wanted to see.
This is not only something they want to do, but gives lasting memories, unlike the closets of toys past chock full of (Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, Transformers)
It doesn't have to be super expensive, send them to an amusement park, museum, sporting event, etc ... make it a lasting memory and a great present.

Dinner for 2 under $5.00
How is that possible? First off it wasn't a NICE restaurant it was Baja Fresh and here is my secret:
Remember in earlier posts I let you know I use Mypoints when I buy stuff for myself for work.
So I recently redemmed enought points for 2 $10 Gift Cards, 1 for Subway (for hubby lunches) and 1 for Baja Fresh (we eat there a LOT!).
So we had the $10 gift card and there was a $5.00 off $15.00 purchase in the mail that I had and I brought my plastic cup for a .99 drink refill, so dinner for 2 ( 1 Baja Ensalada Salad, (3) chicken and cheese tacos and 1 water cost us $4.87 or so!)
