I don't know about you, but I always have an extra pair or two of old glasses around somewhere. I great way to save money is to have them put the new lense into an older pair of frames.
For that last 10 years or so, I have been "reusing" my "last seasons" frames. I take them with me when I get my eyes done, I get my prescription, then I hand them my old frames to put the new lenses in.
The frames are still in good shape and can be reused and it saves me LOTS of money! Another trick, instead of seperate sunglasses get transition lenses, the lense themselves maybe a little more expensive but still less then a buying a whole new set of frames and lenses.
