How many appliances do you have that are "secretly" increasing your bill?
Lets look at my kitchen, I have the convection oven, toaster, microwave, can opener, electric tea kettle, oven, rice cooker, food sealer.
When not in use I the convection oven, toaster, can opener, electric tea kettle and the food sealer. Anytime you see a "light" on, if you don't need it to use it unplug it, it is using electricty for no reason and running up your bills.
If all those appliances, pull even .5 Kw an hour, that is 24 hrs x .6 = 12 Kw a day times 30 days = an extra 360 kw a month, that is enough to bump you into a whole extra level of higher payments.
I also unplug the electric toothbrush when it is fully charged, my husbands razon, the laptop, etc.
