GPS with Traffic Alerts - Saves Time & MONEY

It also saves your SANITY....ok maybe that's just me ;-)

We paid an extra $100 for a GPS with FREE traffic alerts, I don't think it is cost effect to pay a Monthly Fee! Occasionally a tiny ad will show up and disappear so quick at first you think you are seeing things (not on your map, don't worry!)

I check the GPS before I leave for work in the morning and for home at night. I always add 5 to 10 min for each min of "Delay" it says...I live in CA and their idea of delay and mine obviously don't match.

So on the days where there is no traffic I take the regular freeways (which I really, really, REALLY hate!) on the days with traffic I take the toll road (which I really really REALLY LIKE!) Using this method I have saved over $100 each month I have had the GPS, so it paid for itself the first month and has been saving me money ever since.

Now I bet some of you are saying "but why pay money for the toll road at all!?" well I have to think that driving 30 mins on the toll road uses less gas then driving in stop and go traffic for 60 to 90 mins. I would think that means less green house gasses are being released. And the most important reason of all NO ONE in my family wants to deal with me after I have just spent 90 fustrating minutes on the freeway (heck I don't want to deal with myself either!).

So ..... Toll Road $5 having my sanity at the end of the day PRICELESS

Now why I am I even bring this up? After Christmas Sales of GPS's if you need one get it NOW!
