With our economy the way it is, everyone is looking for alternatives to expensive vacations, so walah the "Daycation" is born.
Well I recently found a very reasonable option, State Parks! We live in So. Cal., and we have decided to get fit and try Hiking. You would be amazed at the amount of parks we have that are fairly close to where you like that you have no idea about!!!
Not only that, they are affordable. Parking was $3 to $5 a car, that is it. We saw quite a few families with younger kids, they brought a picnic and so they spent the whole day there.
Local Daycations also save you gas thus money and pollution.
So get outside and find a local state park and have a GREAT Daycation!
